Programs Abroad Expo
Programs Abroad Expo
Wednesday, October 8, 2008
With more international education opportunities available now than ever before, the UC community will get a chance for a global overview on Wednesday, October 8, 2008, when UC International convenes its 2008 Programs Abroad Expo.
This year’s event takes place on Bearcat Plaza (outside of TUC) from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., with an alternate rain location of the TUC Atrium. Nearly 50 exhibits will be set up to help highlight all aspects of international education at UC.
This will be the sixth year for the expo, which can conveniently serve as a one-stop option for students and faculty interested in learning more about UC’s international options. During the 2007 academic year, approximately 850 UC students had an international experience as part of their education. About half of the booths will represent UC programs, with the other half from a variety of universities and educational travel groups from around the world.
In addition to the educational opportunities, the event will also include free food, door prizes and the opportunity to get a free passport photo taken.
Education destinations expected to be represented at the expo include:
Africa Argentina Australia Austria Bahamas Belgium Belize Bolivia Brazil Canada Chile China Costa Rica Croatia Cuba Cyprus Czech Republic Denmark Dominican Republic El Salvador England Finland France Germany Greece Holland Honduras Hungary India Ireland Israel Italy Japan Jordan Korea Lebanon Luxembourg Malta Mexico Netherlands New Zealand North Ireland Norway Panama Peru Poland Russia Scotland Singapore Slovakia Spain Sweden Switzerland Taiwan Thailand Turkey United Arab Emirates Vietnam Wales
