Welcome to Supplemental Instruction for Communication 306-307!

Hello, my name is Christine, and I am the Supplemental Instruction Leader for Communication 306-307. Email: wankewcm@email.uc.edu
My advice to help you become a successful student: Learning is about constantly making connections, whether between class materials and life, among different class subjects or with people. This means you have to really pay attention with an active mind during class and reach out to new people through classes and organizations. You should also make an effort to get noticed by you professors and go to their office hours for help. Making connections with faculty can be invaluable in your pursuit of success.
3 study strategies that helped me perform well in my courses: First, I print out lecture notes before class if they’re available and take additional notes during class to ensure that I’m engaging my mind. Second, when studying for exams, I make outlines of the most important ideas to guide my review. Third, I use Web resources as posted by the professor or for the textbook if available because it helps me make conceptual connections and makes ideas stick.
