UC Celebrates QueerCat Pride Week


The University of Cincinnati will show its rainbow colors during Queercat Pride Week 2013, running through the first week of April.

UC ingot   The University of Cincinnati LGBTQ community and allied friends will celebrate diversity throughout Queercat Pride Week from Friday, March 29 through Friday, April 5.  Queercat Pride Week is sponsored by UC’s LGBTQ Center, Colors of Pride, GenderBloc, UC Alliance, UC Women’s Center, Baba Budan’s, MainStreet, Residence Hall Association, Resident Education & Development, and  UC Student Government. Scheduled events include:

Friday, March 29

  • Genderf*ck Drag Show at 9 p.m. in the Tangeman University Center Great Hall

Monday, April 1

  • Carnival: Student Groups Fair from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on McMicken Commons
  • Queers & Allies Eating Dinner (invitation only event)

Tuesday, April 2

Wednesday, April 3

  • Religious Panel at Soul Café from 10 a.m. to noon at the UC Women’s Center, Suite 571 Steger Student Life Building
  • Queeraoke from 7 to 10 p.m. at Baba Budan’s, 239 West McMillan Street

Thursday, April 4

  • Queer Freeze Tag from 12:30 to 2 p.m. on McMicken Commons
  • Game Night at 7 p.m. in Calhoun Hall

Friday, April 5

  • Tacos with Trans from noon to 2 p.m. at the Max Kade German Cultural Center on the 7th Floor of Old Chemistry
  • Queercat Pride Week will culminate with participation in the 11th annual Relay For Life beginning at 6 p.m. on McMicken Commons and ending at noon, Saturday, April 6.
