The University of Cincinnati's Office of Information Technologies (UCit) is pleased to offer you diverse, cutting edge computing and telecommunications systems and services. We are your telephone and Internet services provider, and, along with Cincinnati Bell, provide mobile phone service with unique features. We are your information security, networking, and PC specialists. Further, we can meet nearly all of your software needs, often at no cost to you. We look forward to serving you.

Blackboard
Online class materials are just a click away with UC's Blackboard system. Blackboard provides virtual class space where most UC instructors place course syllabi, lecture notes, and more. Log in from anywhere with an Internet connection, to study for exams, view videos, or chat with classmates or professors. Blackboard is also a portal to other key services, like the campus newspaper, student clubs, and the OneStop web site (http://onestop.uc.edu) where you can register for classes, pay your bill, check your grades, accept your award pay request transcripts, and more.

UC Mobile
In partnership with Cincinnati Bell, UCit offers students cell phones with mobile ap-plications that enhance the student experience. You can get UC-centric applications that are available nowhere else, on world class devices at below market rates.
Applications include:
- notification when something changes on your Blackboard course site
- a shuttle bus tracking feature to let you know when buses are approaching your stop

Computer Labs
You will find UCit-provided computer labs in various locations on main campus.

Wireless installations continue to proliferate on campus.

UCFileSpace
Each student receives 1 GB (gigabyte) of personal online file storage space on UCFileSpace. Access it from anywhere in the world. Use it to store your files, publish personal web pages, or explore Unix and computer programming. For details, please see http://ucfilespace.uc.edu.
E-Mail
The Bearcat Online e-mail system is the primary means of communication between the university and students. This state-of-the-art, Internet-based system provides anti-virus, auto-reply, calendar, user-defined filter, forward, IMAP, POP and WebMail services. Please see http://email.uc.edu for details.
Discounts on Software and Hardware
Before purchasing any product commercially, you may want to see if it is available through our software agreements. UCit has negotiated diverse software site licenses for discounted and free software for the university community. We may be able to meet most if not all of your software needs - often at no cost to you.
