Blackboard

Online class materials are just a click away with UC's Blackboard system. Blackboard provides virtual class space where most UC instructors place course syllabi, lecture notes, and more. Log in from anywhere with an Internet connection, to study for exams, view videos, or chat with classmates or professors. Blackboard is also a portal to other key services, like the campus newspaper, student clubs, and the OneStop web site (http://onestop.uc.edu) where you can register for classes, pay your bill, check your grades, accept your award pay request transcripts, and more.

Please see http://blackboard.uc.edu for details about UC's Blackboard system.

UC Mobile

In partnership with Cincinnati Bell, UCit offers students cell phones with mobile ap-plications that enhance the student experience. You can get UC-centric applications that are available nowhere else, on world class devices at below market rates.

Applications include:

  • notification when something changes on your Blackboard course site
  • a shuttle bus tracking feature to let you know when buses are approaching your stop

Receive a free Bearcat cell phone when you purchase a UC Mobile subscriber plan. Please visit UC Mobile for detailed information.

Computer Labs

You will find UCit-provided computer labs in various locations on main campus.

Facilities include UCit@Langsam, a new 24/7 study space on the 5th floor of Langsam Library. Please see http://www.uc.edu/ucitatlangsam for detailed information.

Wireless Data Communications

Wireless installations continue to proliferate on campus.

See http://www.uc.edu/ucit/access/wireless_data_communications.html for details.

UCFileSpace

Each student receives 1 GB (gigabyte) of personal online file storage space on UCFileSpace. Access it from anywhere in the world. Use it to store your files, publish personal web pages, or explore Unix and computer programming. For details, please see http://ucfilespace.uc.edu.

E-Mail

The Bearcat Online e-mail system is the primary means of communication between the university and students. This state-of-the-art, Internet-based system provides anti-virus, auto-reply, calendar, user-defined filter, forward, IMAP, POP and WebMail services. Please see http://email.uc.edu for details.
