Student Response Systems in Electronic Classrooms

UCit at the University of Cincinnati has standardized the use of Student Response Systems utilizing Turning Technologies TurningPoint software and TurningPoint ResponseCard RF transmitters.

TurningPoint can be installed per request in any west campus Electronic Classroom (for a complete list of Electronic Classrooms click here).

TurningPoint ResponseCard RF transmitters for student use are sold through the University Of Cincinnati bookstore.

Effective spring quarter 2008 West Campus Electronic Classrooms will be upgraded to TurningPoint 2008.

Due to this upgrade, all users who employ TurningPoint in an equipped West Campus Electronic Classroom (list of Electronic Classrooms with TurningPoint equipment) must download and install TurningPoint 2008 on their personal computer in order to author presentations with TurningPoint content. The upgrade is available in the download section of the PRS organization. Any previous versions of TurningPoint must be uninstalled before installing the new version.

TurningPoint 2008 can be used to author presentations in either Microsoft Office 2003 or 2007. However, the presentation will run in Office 2007 on the computer in the Electronic Classroom. Session data reports can be generated regardless of Office version.
