McAfee Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware Software

McAfee v4.1.60 Engine Support Notice:
	Due to internal architecture limitations, the 4.1.60 and earlier Engines will cease to function properly from the 4366 DAT release. The 4.1.60 Engine has been End of Life for over 6 months for all current McAfee products with the exception of WebShield Solaris 4.1 (with mandatory hotfix) & Virex 6.1 / 7.x. On this DAT release, with the exception of WebShield Solaris 4.1 (with mandatory hotfix) & Virex 6.1, all products still running the 4.1.60 Engine will stop working with updated DATs. Customers wishing to maintain product warranty and support need to upgrade their Engines to a currently supported version as soon as possible.
McAfee v4.03a Support Notice:
	Network Associates has announced "End of Life" for McAfee v4.0.3a and prior. This affects both NetShield and Virus Scan. These versions are no longer be supported. If you are running these versions of McAfee you need to upgrade to version 4.5.1. Version 4.5.1 is available in the Desktop Pre-configured or Standard sections.
License Information
	NOTICE: The University of Cincinnati site license provides the "corporate" versions of VirusScan and Netshield currently version 8.x. This does not include retail versions of McAfee. The University of Cincinnati has an agreement with Network Associates (NAI) for the Total Virus Defense package. This agreement includes, but is not limited to, McAfee Desktop VirusScan for Windows XP, UNIX, Virex for Macintosh, NetShield for NT and NetWare, and Desktop Anti-Spyware. Software acquired from this site is for the sole use of active Faculty, Students, and Staff of the University of Cincinnati. Any unauthorized distribution or duplication of these products is prohibited.
