2018 UC Advising Conference
September 20, 2018
Tangeman University Center | University of Cincinnati
The focus of the conference this year will be Connect 4 Student Success: Advising Across Our Student Populations. The conference aims to provide a platform for the UC advising community to exchange ideas and resources to meet the needs of our various student populations. As student needs shift and student populations continue to diversify, it becomes increasingly imperative that advisors are able to recognize, understand, and address these needs to best prepare students for success.
While exploring ways our campus community can connect for student success, this year's UC Advising Conference will allow advising professionals to examine the following questions:
- How can advisors ensure that we understand the needs of our various student populations?
- How can we continue to encourage strong, collaborative networks of advising across our student populations?
- How can we continue to support our students while furthering our knowledge and skills in creating an inclusive and supportive environment at the University?
New to this year’s conference, advising professionals will have the opportunity to participate in pre-conference workshops on Tuesday, September 18th and Wednesday, September 19th. These workshops aim to allow more in-depth focus on selected topics central to the role of advising.
