Becoming a Peer Tutor

AESS is continuously recruiting UC students who are interested in academically supporting others through peer tutoring.  We accept applications year round and hire on an as needed basis.  Candidates must have received a 3.0 average or above in the relevant content and enjoy teaching and learning. Interested students may complete and submit application materials to the Learning Assistance Center, Attn: Jaime Sperandio. 

The LAC is currently interviewing applicants for the 2012-2013 academic year. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply ASAP. 

Becoming an SI Leader

The LAC hires UC's finest students as SI Leaders. For information about the requirements of the position, check out Become an SI Leader. The LAC requires a completed SI application packet in order to be considered. Candidates may submit application materials to the Learning Assistance Center, Attn: Jaime Sperandio.

Becoming an Academic Coach

The LAC Academic Coaching Program is now hiring for Fall of 2012! 

Applicants must have a 3.3 GPA or higher. Coaches meet with UC students to determine student strengths and weaknesses in academic settings. Coaches are then responsible for preparing individualized responses, exercises, and references to address student needs. Coaching schedules will coordinate with coaches' curricular and extracurricular activities, but coaches must be available for some trainings and meetings.  

Students must submit a cover letter, resume, and at least two references. Interested applicants may contact Lauren Clark at lauren.clark@uc.edu.
