Session formats

Each session is scheduled to last only 50 minutes.  Within each session we will review concepts, complete guided practice, and assign additional “at-home” practice.   Each session will begin with questions and review of the practice problems assigned in the previous session.

Session Learning Goals

Each session will focus on the recommended ETS study areas as shown in the following document:  http://www.ets.org/Media/Tests/PRAXIS/pdf/5730.pdf.  Students will review the following areas:  numbers and operations, algebra, word problems, geometry and measurement, and statistics.  Students will then practice these concepts to gain a better understanding of the problems and their personal strengths and weaknesses.  Students will also learn test taking strategies dependent upon the area of focus.
