Success Skills Workshops
Have questions about college? We’ve got your academic plan and proven strategies for success! The Learning Assistance Center is proud to offer a series of SUCCESS SKILLS WORKSHOPS that are designed to take components of our Academic Coaching modules and present them in a collaborative, interactive hour-long session. We will take all of the successful elements of our one-on-one coaching appointments, and present them in a large-group format.
While there is no shortcut to success, these workshops will give you the tools necessary to set your goals, change your habits, engage in positive study skills, and get on the path to academic success. Our goal is to empower students and expose them to a variety of different techniques, with the goal of finding the right strategy for each individual student.
Each of workshops in the series will feature interactive breakout sessions led by LAC-trained Academic Coaches and an LAC professional staff member. We encourage students to ask questions during the workshops from grade replacement policies to the resources that the Learning Assistance Center provides.
We encourage all students to attend these workshops as a primer to building their academic success plan. Review the workshops below, and be sure to REGISTER for each workshop you want to take part in. Our research shows that students who attend 5 or more Academic Coaching sessions will see substantial gains in their GPA, and confidence in their studies.
As always, we recommend students make appointments with our Coaches and Tutors on a one-on-one basis by going to lacscheduling.uc.edu. However, to begin the process of change we encourage you to attend these workshops, apply the techniques, and see how you can begin to Conquer your Academic Mission! REGISTER HERE!
