............................................................................................................. Monetary Guidelines
Dr. James L. Winkle supported the College of Pharmacy with a substantial gift in 2007. This granite monument was erected to identify his contribution and the naming of the James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy. The monument was installed at the main entrance on Eden Avenue. The granite used matched the granite steps installed in the front of Wherry as part of the Eden Streetscape project in 1999.
............................................................................................................................ A new or renovated building or open space incorporating private funding can be named if the honoree gift equals at least 50 percent of the private-support goal determined for the project. Exceptions to this guideline may be authorized by the naming committee, as the committee deems appropriate.
If a facility is built or renovated without the use of private money, the gift amount must be at least 15 percent of the facility's original cost-of-construction estimate.
