MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS


Maintenance and Operations supports the University of Cincinnati by providing baseline maintenance services to more than 97 UC buildings totaling over nine million square feet of space through operations that specialize in various mechanical, technical and trades skills including:

                        • Building Controls 
                        • Carpentry
                        • Electrical
                        • General Maintenance
                        • Heating/Ventilation/Air Conditioning
                        • Painting/Plastering
                        • Plumbing

            The majority of work requests for the baseline services that Maintenance and Operations performs are completed by staff on first shift Mondays through Fridays.  Above-baseline work can be scheduled with our Project Services Department on a fee-for-service basis.  Facility cleaning and custodial services are provided by our Building Services Department. To provide for off-hours coverage, Maintenance and Operations staffs an emergency maintenance crew during evenings, nights, holidays and weekends.

            Requests for Services:

            Requests for services are processed by our Work Control Centers during first shift hours Monday through Friday.  The Work Control Centers specialize in service to the following university communities and can be reached at the listed telephone numbers:

            After office hours, routine service requests may be left on Work Control's voice mail and they will be returned the following work day. For immediate and/or emergency needs during evenings, nights, holidays and weekends, contact Central Dispatch at 513-556-6111 to report your request.

            Note: Maintenance and Operations does not provide routine services to the following facilities:

            • 5/3rd Arena-Shoemaker Center - Contact the Athletics Department for service requests.
            • For routine and emergency services at Clermont College and Raymond Walters College, contact the college's administrative offices.
