Reporting Grounds Maintenance & Repair Service Requests:
During regular office hours (which are Monday-Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm):
- Dial 513-556-4147 to report all Routine and Emergency Grounds Maintenance Service Requests.
After Hours (which are: 4:00 pm to 7:30 am; all weekends; and all holidays)
- Report All Emergency After-Hours Grounds Maintenance Requests by dialing 513-556-1111 to the Communications Center of UC Public Safety and request that they contact and dispatch emergency maintenance response staff.
- Report All Routine After-Hours Grounds Maintenance Service Requests by dialing 513-556-4147 to leave a detailed voice message that will be reviewed the next business day.
Although over 90% of the Grounds Maintenance service requests are initiated by the Grounds personnel themselves, please don't hesitate to contact us regarding grounds problems or concerns you may have.
Grounds Maintenance is responsible for maintaining nearly all exterior areas of the Uptown Campus, Academic Health Center, Residence Halls & MainStreet facilities, and UC Victory Parkway Campus, with the exception of campus drives and parking areas. The duties performed by the Grounds Maintenance staff are diverse, and they include, but are not limited to:
Mowing more than 73.5 acres of turf;
Tree trimming and removal;
Planting and maintaining flower beds;
Planting, fertilizing, and watering of 165 acres;
Sweeping walkways and patios;
Snow and ice removal from walkways;
Marking athletic fields;
Exterminating pests-both inside and outside facilities;
Repair and/or construction of sidewalks, masonry walls, chain link fences, and blacktop;
Maintenance of all irrigation systems.
Above-baseline grounds maintenance services may be requested through the Facilities Management Project Services Department, on a fee-for-service basis, by dialing 513-556-4147.
