The University of Cincinnati will be celebrating the national Campus Sustainability Day for the second year, on October 21, with a variety of speakers and activities.

UC's Climate Action Plan (FREE LUNCH included)
Presentation on UC's recently-completed Climate Action Plan, part of the the President's Climate Commitment. UC was one of only 88 schools across the country to submit our plan on time. It outlines ideas and guidelines on how we can become more sustainable and reduce our carbon emissions to zero by 2050. The presentation will be given by administrators, faculty and students who will highlight ways in which the UC community can get involved in the process and help achieve the goals of the Plan.

UC faculty who have recently completed works related to sustainable topics will be on hand to discuss and sign copies of their books.

Issue 9 / Rail Transit Debate
Student Government hosts a debate between Cincinnatians for Progress, City Council candidates and COAST on the upcoming ballot initiative Issue 9 which could have major impacts on campus sustainability and the future of transit issues in the City and region.
All events are sponsored by PACES, Student Sustainability Coalition, SGA, GSGA and MainStreet.
