The Center for Sustaining the Urban Environment (SUE) at the University of Cincinnati (UC) is a trans-disciplinary education and research Center. The Center at UC: * studies how urban infrastructure and environmental policies affect the long-term health and wealth of cities and * develops and disseminates information regarding the scientific metrics, policies and technologies that promote the evolution of economically and environmentally sustainable urban regions

While most NIH and other federal grants fund research projects, the NIEHS Center Grants are funded to increase the amount and quality of Environmental Health Sciences research, recruiting new investigators to the Environmental Health Sciences field, educating young investigators, and developing facilities to improve the research at both the University of Cincinnati and Cincinnati Children's Hospital.
