Tailgate Recycling 2009

Saturday, October 24 2 shifts: 11:30am - 3:30pm (pregame recycling at tailgating lots and Homecoming festivities) 3:30pm - 7:30pm (recycling during and after game)

Meet at Sander Loading Dock on West Campus West Charlton Street, just west of Jefferson Ave. (click here to see map)

Join us for UC's third home game of the 2009 season as we take on Louisville and go for our seventh big win of the year! At the last game, volunteers helped recycle over 800 lbs. of material, making another huge advance on our 6 game goal of 1 ton!*

Volunteers will assist with placing recycling bins in various areas of campus including tailgating lots, special event areas, and Nippert Stadium. We will help inform fans about the initiative and will empty and weigh the recyclables as the bins fill up. Help UC become more sustainable and help the Bearcats win!

*In 2008, the total for the season was approximately 1200 lbs. and the 2009 goal is 1 ton (2000 lbs.)

Tailgate Recycling will occur at ALL UC home football games.
