Student Organizations

Students for Ecological Design (SED)

SED was created to bring together and transmit knowledge between a collective of people interested in the education, promotion, and implementation of environmentally focused design. Specific goals include: promoting sustainable design education, sponsoring student participation in workshops and conferences, etc.

Leaders for Environmental Awareness & Protection (LEAP)

LEAP (Leaders for Environmental Awareness & Protection) hopes to foster an environmental movement, both on campus and in the community, by engaging the talents of students and faculty. LEAP focuses on networking with environmental organizations, volunteerism, promoting special events, increasing environmental education and creating open discussions to achieve this mission.

Environmental Law Society

Environmental Law SocietyThe Environmental Law Society promotes an awareness of present and future issues in the field of environmental law. It sponsors programs featuring guest speakers on topics of interest to its members and the community.

re|UC

re|UC educates about and advocates for the preservation of architecture, habitat and cultural heritage at the University of Cincinnati, its surrounding region and beyond. re|UC endeavors to be a cross-disciplinary group of students from many backgrounds, all interested in the intersections of preservation, reuse, community development and revitalization, habitat restoration and sustainability.

Engineers Without Borders

Engineers Without Borders at the University of Cincinnati (EWB-UCIN) is one of over 140 student chapters throughout the United States. EWB is a non-profit, non-government organization whose mission is to partner with developing communities to improve their quality of live through implementation of sustinable engineering projects, while developing internationally responsible students. EWB gives students the opportunity to get involved in global issues and use their engineering skills to provide appropriate sustinable solutions.
