The 2012 football season will end with UC’s first-ever trip to the Belk Bowl in Charlotte, N.C. The Bearcats will play the Duke University Blue Devils from the Atlantic Coast Conference. Duke surpassed all projections this year, going 6-6 and reaching its first bowl game since 1994. This will be the first-ever matchup in football between UC and Duke.
Due to changing sponsorships over the years, the Belk Bowl has gone by various names, but the game and host-city Charlotte have always gotten great reviews. The game will be played on Thursday, December 27, at 6:30 p.m. in Bank of America Stadium, the home of the NFL’s Carolina Panthers. The game will be televised on ESPN.
