On March 29th, Anabel Menifee, Regional Enrollment Center Coordinator for UC, hosted the First Annual Chicago Admitted Student Reception at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle with over 40 students and parents in attendance.
Every spring, after acceptance letters are mailed and before final decisions are made, the Admissions Office hosts Admitted Student Receptions in different cities. Admitted students have the opportunity to meet and greet alumni, who in turn get to share their excitement and experience. whether it relates to the quality of education they received, the seat-clenching football game, the Mick & Mac traditions, or the study abroad experience.
You may not realize it, but alumni are incredibly important in the admissions process. The admissions counselors travel across the country and around the world to engage with the best students who will shape UC’s third generation. As alumni, you are experts and representatives of the university. You define what UC is. Your stories bring UC to life in ways that print materials cannot.
Anabel and the Chicagoans for Cincy! are grateful to our alumni who participated in this event. Our alumni make a powerful and positive impact on the students, families, and their final decision.

The Chicago Send-Off event will be held early this summer for students who have confirmed to the University and we look forward to having you join us and welcome the new members of the Bearcat family!
