Sophomore Level
(MSII Level) Cadet Course Overview and Courses:
During the cadets MSII year the cadets will be
introduced to leadership in the army. The course
necessarily involves understanding how to build
teams, how to influence, how to communicate, how
and when to make decisions, how to engage in creative
problem solving, and to plan and organize. Many
of the activities are adaptations of executive
and leadership training workshops. The curriculum
also
focuses on building character. It centers on giving
cadets the opportunity to apply, practice and
experience

Junior
Level (MSIII Level) Cadet Course Overview and Courses:
The MSIII year is the most pivotal for
an ROTC cadet. The MSIII year in ROTC prepares
the cadet for Leadership Development Assessment Course (LDAC)
in the summer of their junior year. MSIIIs' training
focus on troop leading procedures, squad and platoon
infantry tactics, drill and ceremony, land navigation,
leadership development, and physical training.
Successful completion of the MSIII year means the

(MSIV Level) Cadet Courses:
The Military Science (MS) IV curriculum completes
the pre-commissioning education and training
for
cadets. Each MS IV cadet fills a primary leadership
position during the year in addition to completing
a special project that supports and benefits
the Cadet Battalion. The academic focus is on
understanding
the doctrinal principles of Army training; understanding
how a staff is organized and functions, preparing
and executing a briefing, understanding the legal
issues affecting the military, understanding
the
constitutional and legal basis for the US Military
and US Army, analyzing the principles of war
and
how they relate to the professional military
officer, applying the principles of the Army
writing style
to three types of staff papers, and illustrating
the key military skills related to duties of
the
military officer. Additionally, MS IV cadets
plan, prepare and supervise the training conducted
with
the underclassmen cadets; participate in physical
training (PT) and mentor the other cadets. The
MS IV cadets also plan, prepare and execute numerous
social events for the Cadet Battalion designed
to ensure a balance between study and relaxation.
The MS IV cadets are the standard bearers within
