Army ROTC Bearcat Battalion Clubs: Ranger Team

University of Cincinnati's 2007 Ranger Challenge Team

The Ranger Challenge Team is "Above the Rest."
The Ranger Challenge Team placed 10th in 2007.

The Ranger Challenge team is an elite force composed of the University of Cincinnati's finest cadets. This cadet force studies Squad to Platoon-sized tactics, basic military skills, physical fitness, and leadership in small units. The Ranger Club's most important event is the Ranger Challenge competition. The Ranger Challenge is conducted once a year at Ft. Knox, KY and involves several different schools from Ohio and northern Kentucky. Ranger Team members compete in eight events: Rifle Marksmanship, the Army Physical Fitness Test, Hand Grenade Assault Course, Orienteering, Squad Patrolling, the One-Rope Bridge, a 10-kilometer forced march, and weapons disassembly/assembly.

The Ranger Challenge Team conducts PT five days a week during fall quarter. Paint ball trips, rock climbing, and camping are also Ranger Club events.

At the most recent Ranger Challenge, in November 2007, the University of Cincinnati placed 10th. Congratulations!.

Membership is open to any U.C. student. If interested in joining or have any questions, please call 556-3660 for more information.
