Lieutenant Colonel Randy Judd, the Professor
of Military Science at the University of
Cincinnati Army Reserve Officers Training
Corps was awarded Professor of Military Science
of the Year for US Army Cadet Command’s
Seventh Brigade. This award is given to the
best Professor of Military Science out of
forty ROTC programs across Michigan, Indiana,
Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee.
While at the University of Cincinnati, Lieutenant
Colonel Judd has led the Bearcat Battalion
in earning the 2010 MacArthur Award, an award
that is given to the best ROTC program in each
brigade, and is only awarded to eight ROTC
programs each year of the 273 host schools
that cover over 1000 universities. Also in
2010, the Bearcat Battalion received the Brigadier
General Abraham Award, an award that is presented
by the Ohio Army National Guard to the best
ROTC battalion in the state of Ohio. Under
the leadership of Lieutenant Colonel Judd,
the University of Cincinnati has led Seventh
Brigade in recruiting and retention. The University
of Cincinnati also leads Cadet Command as the
pilot Battalion for Synergy Events by combining
the assets of ROTC and Army Reserve and National
Guard units to conduct joint recruiting events.
Lieutenant Colonel Judd was awarded Professor
of Military Science of the Year in a ceremony
held at Fort Knox, Kentucky on October 16,
2010.
