Become a member of Bearcast Radio

If you are a UC student, there are lots of ways for you to get involved with Bearcast Radio. Whether your interest is hosting your own show, helping out with promotions, producing our show intros and commercials, or getting us new business deals, there is some way you can be part of the station.

The easiest way to get involved is to show up at one of our meetings. They are held in Mary Emery Hall Room 3244 at 6:30 PM on the first 2 Thursdays of every quarter, and every other Thursday after that. (We have free Pizza Pan pizza at every meeting!) From there, you can talk to any director, general manager, or our faculty advisor about how to get involved. You can also email any director and get added to our Blackboard community so you can keep up with Bearcast news.

You can also earn up to 3 UC credit hours for your involvement in the station. It is offered as a class autumn and winter quarters, and you can take the class for 1, 2, or 3 credit hours each quarter until you accumulate the maximum of 3.

Show auditions

Bearcast has a new policy requiring all DJs to audition before they are given a show slot. It is not an intimidating process, and no past experience is required, although any public speaking or similer experience will help.

We will be posting information about Summer and Fall quarter auditions toward the end of Spring Quarter.

Contacts

If you have any questions, please e–mail General Manager Caitlin Behle at behlece@email.uc.edu, or the appropriate director (listed on our directors page).
