Intramural Sports Official

Job Description
Control and enforce game policies and rules.
Officials are needed for flag football, volleyball, basketball, soccer, softball and some one-day tournaments. Sports vary by semester.
Officials in specific sports are required to attend and plan an active role in preseason officials' clinics, as well as weekly meetings. Rule clarifications, officiating techniques, mechanics and etiquette are discussed at these sessions.
Game situations are provided in order to prepare the officials for the intramural season.

Minimum Qualifications
Assertiveness and a general knowledge of the rules is a must.
Prior experience is not required.
Evening and weekend hours are available.
Starting pay for officials is Minimum Wage

Intramural Sports Supervisor

Job Description
Control and enforce game policies and rules.
Monitor all playing venues.
Responsible for maintaining fair and safe playing environments.
Play an intricate role in all training sessions for officials.
Be able to officiatewhen needed.
Act as first responders to emergency situations.

Minimum Qualifications
One semester of officiating experience or officiating experience in 2 sports either at UC or another institution.
Strong leadership skills. 
Knowledgeable in all intramural rules, policies and procedures.
Hold current certifications in CPR and First Aid.
Starting pay for Supervisors is $9.00 per hour.
