Director of Campus Recreation & MainStreet Operations
Kim began her career at the University of Cincinnati in 1989 and has since worked in four areas within the university including Athletics, Student Affairs and Services, Administrative and Business Services, and Administration and Finance. Kim opened the Campus Recreation Center in 2006, the Fitness Center at CARE/Crawley in 2008, and assumed responsibility for MainStreet Operations in 2011. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Master of Science degree in Sports Management. A former National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA) State Director for Ohio, Kim is also a NIRSA region III Honor Award Recipient and Ohio Recreational Sports Association (ORSA) Honor Award recipient. More recently she has become involved with the Association of College Unions International (ACUI). In her free time Kim enjoys mountain bike riding, hanging out with family and friends, and playing soccer with her dog Brodie.
Associate Director of Programs and Marketing
Carolyn has enjoyed working at the University of Cincinnati since 1985 promoting health and fitness to students, faculty, staff, and the UC community. Prior to joining the Campus Recreation Center, she directed the University Fitness program at the UC Academic Health Center. Carolyn received two Master Degrees in Community Health Education and Nutrition Education. When she's not enjoying watching her children in sporting events, she keeps busy gardening or playing golf with her family.
Associate Director of Facilities and Operations
Prior to working at the University of Cincinnati, Kendra served as Operations Manager for the California Fitness Health Clubs in Columbus, Ohio. Kendra is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati with two Bachelor Degrees in Biology and Health Promotion and Education, and is currently working on her Master’s Degree in Health Promotions and Education. Kendra currently serves as the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA) State Director for Ohio. Kendra’s love for recreation began as an undergraduate student while working for the Recreational Sports department at UC. Kendra loves taking the Group Fitness classes and has found a new passion for boxing!
Assistant Director of Fitness and Wellness
Ashley has been with Campus Recreation since May 2005. She joined Campus Recreation as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor and took on additional responsibilities until her role in a full-time capacity began in 2008. She has earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees here at the University of Cincinnati, and is now working on her Ph.D. in Health Education. She is an ACE (American Council on Exercise) Master Trainer, as well as certified through various organizations, with her biggest focus now being the completion of her 200 RYT training through YogaFit. She enjoys salsa dancing, traveling and spending time with her family.
Assistant Director of Facility Operations
Jim has been the Assistant Director for Facility Operations since November 2006. His duties include managing the facility rentals, day-to-day operations of the Campus Recreation Center, Fitness Center at CARE Crawley and the Climbing Wall. He received both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Ball State University. Jim is also known for giving resume presentations at NIRSA conferences: 2013 Lead On Presentation
Assistant Director of Member Services
Emily has worked for the Campus Recreation Department since 2002. She went from member services, to building supervisor, and now is serving as the Assistant Director of Member Services. She graduated from UC with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and is currently working on her Master of Science in Marketing. Emily enjoys shopping for shoes, yelling "Who-Dey" chants, and dancing to polka bands.
Assistant Director of Aquatics
Carol has over 25 years experience in aquatics as a learn-to-swim director, coach, pool manager, LGI, WSI and lifeguard. She received her Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and Masters Degree in Sports Administration/Facility Management from Ohio University. Carol is currently the Sycamore Jr. High School swim coach and an assistant coach for the high school team. In her free time, Carol enjoys being with friends and family and especially watching her children compete in their various sports.
Coordinator of Fitness and Wellness
Brandi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Western Kentucky University. She comes to UC with more than six years experience in fitness management from HealthFitness Corporation and was the Assistant Manager at TMMKFitness, one of the largest corporate fitness sites in the nation. Brandi holds certifications from ACE, YogaFit, Powder Blue Productions and YMCA. Brandi’s passion for campus recreation began as an undergraduate student while working at the Preston Health and Activities Center at WKU and has continued throughout her career. Some of Brandi’s favorite things to do: watching college sports “GO HEELS!... and BEARCATS!”, playing cornhole, golf, taking dance classes and hanging out with family and friends.
Coordinator of Facilities
Jayme holds a Bachelor of Science degree in nutrition & fitness from Florida State University and a Master of Science degree in exercise science from Miami University. Prior to joining the staff at CRC, Jayme was the program manager of personal training and equipment at University Fitness on UC’s east campus. He enjoys golf, Starbucks, NASCAR, corn hole, college football, and spending time with his family.
Coordinator of Member Services
Emilie has worked at the CRC since 2006 as a student, working as a Member Services Lead & Building Supervisor while she earned her Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Finance, Marketing, and International Business. She currently serves as the Coordinator of Member Services and would like to continue her education here at the University of Cincinnati. Emilie enjoys Target, golf, learning to cook, and hanging out with her friends & family in her free time.
Assistant Director of Intramural Sports and Camps
Drew holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Virginia and a Master of Science degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Campus Recreation Leadership from James Madison University. In addition to his experience in intramural sports and youth programming, he teaches group fitness classes in boxing and athletic conditioning. In his free time, Drew enjoys hanging out with his dog, Adler, playing tennis, volleyball, hockey, and fantasy football, and watching the Philadelphia Eagles fight their way to a future Super Bowl.
Coordinator of Aquatics
Bob started working in Aquatics over ten years ago, and his love of it has never waned. Bob earned his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University while working in a multitude of facilities in Ohio. From December 2005 to October 2010, Bob was the Pool Operator for the State College High School Natatorium. Bob likes to spend his free time working out, reading, and cooking. He’s always on the lookout for new recipes to try, especially foreign foods. He is happy to be back in Ohio where all of his family resides.
Coordinator of Intramural Sports and Camps
Phil has worked with the Campus Recreation Department since 2008 as both an Intramural Sports and Facility Operations student employee. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science from the University of Cincinnati. Phil Currently serves as the Coordinator of Intramural Sports and Camps while furthering his education at UC. Phil enjoys laughing, playing with his two dogs, and exploring new places.
