REC Kids Camp provides recreation-based programming for developing active and healthy lifestyles. By providing these opportunities to rising 1st – 8th graders, we hope our campers maintain healthy habits as they grow older while having fun along the way!

What does REC Kids have to offer?

  • A balanced, recreation-focused schedule designed to keep your child engaged and active.
  • A friendly staff of CPR/AED/First Aid-certified, background-checked recreation professionals and counselors committed to enhancing the camp experience for campers, parents and guardians.
  • Located in the UC Campus Recreation Center, named "Best Recreation Center in the City" by Cincinnati Magazine in 2013 and "#1 Most Amazing Student Recreation Center" in the nation by BestCollegeReviews.org in 2013.
  • Campers swim indoors in the CRC leisure pool (features a water wall, bubble couch, whirlpool, lazy river, and basketball hoop).
  • Campers also have the opportunity to scale the 40 feet indoor climbing wall under the supervision of certified climbing wall staff.
  • Extended drop-off (7:30-9 a.m.) and pick-up (4-5:30 p.m.) times are included in the cost of registration.

$170 per week, per child

UC Campus Rec Non-Member

$200 per week, per child

  • 10% discount for additional siblings enrolled in the same summer camp week.
  • Non-refundable $20/child per week deposit due at registration.
  • *Week 5 is a four day week.  Fees for this week are $136 per child for UC Campus Recreation members and $160 per child for non-members.

Winter Break Camp

Join us for a special Winter Wonderland camp.  School's out and REC Kids is in!  Activities will include indoor swimming, climbing, games, sports, arts and crafts, and much more!  

Each child needs to bring a swimsuit, towel, and their lunch. Snacks and drinks will be provided. Children need to wear appropriate athletic attire (shorts, or wind pants, T-shirt, athletic shoes) while participating in all programs.

President's Day

Cincinnati Public School children are out of school! Campus Recreation welcomes you to join in on our President's Day celebration with games, patriotic arts and crafts, indoor swimming, indoor rock climbing and sports.

Each child needs to bring a swimsuit, towel, and their lunch. Snacks and drinks will be provided. Children need to wear appropriate athletic attire (shorts, or wind pants, T-shirt, athletic shoes) while participating in all programs.

Spring Break Camp

Spring into fun and excitement at the Campus Recreation Center!  REC Kids Club is proud to present the 8th annual Spring Break Camp.  School's out, and REC Kids Club is in!  Campers will participate in activities such as sports, games, arts and crafts, swimming, climbing, ending the week making tie-dye shirts, and watching a movie!

Each child needs to bring a swimsuit, towel, and his or her lunch. Snacks and drinks will be provided. Children need to wear appropriate athletic attire (shorts, or wind pants, T-shirt, athletic shoes) while participating in all programs.

How to Register

  • Registrations can be taken over the phone (513-556-0604) or in person during normal business hours.
  • For summer camp, registrations are on a per week basis. Parents and guardians do not need to sign up for the entire summer.
  • For non-summer events, full payment is due at the time of registration. 
  • For payment policies related to summer camp or information regarding refunds, please review Payment Policies, below.
  • REC Kids does not accept vouchers or offer scholarships.
  • Our tax EIN is 31-6000989. You may request a comprehensive receipt, if required, at reckids@uc.edu.
  • All forms are due two weeks prior to the first day of the camp session. 

Campers with incomplete or missing forms will not be allowed to participate in camp programming.

Payment Policies


Drop-off & Pickup

Weather permitting, REC Kids will have an Assistant Coordinator outside during drop-off and pickup hours. Otherwise, families should enter the building through the main entrance.


The Camp Day
