Self Defense

Cincinnati is YOUR campus and YOUR city! In this class, taught in association with the University of Cincinnati Police Department, you will learn the basics of personal safety and self-defense to feel empowered wherever you go. You will learn how to walk assertively and assess your surroundings, as well as avoidance, grappling and striking techniques.

Tuesdays & Thursdays 5:00p.m. - 5:45p.m.

2x/week for 6 weeks. $60 Members/$78 Non-members

Our Karate program is a traditional dojo housed within Campus Recreation, offered Monday, Thursday and Saturday. Are stereotypes, self-doubt or skepticism keeping you from taking karate? Find experienced instruction, energetic atmosphere & classmates, progressive & individualized lessons in a legitimate art right here at UC. Chito-ryu karate is: a dynamic discipline of Japanese, Okinawan & Chinese origins, suitable for everyone, and designed to optimize health, spirit, strength, core, cardio & balance.

Mondays 7:30 - 9:15 p.m., Thursdays 7:30 - 9:15 p.m., Saturdays 10:15 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Boxing

This class will walk you through the fundamentals of boxing where you'll learn proper form for the jab, hook, cross and upper-cut along with proper footwork.  Your strength and endurance will also be taught and tested in this class.

MMA Striking

Mixed Martial Arts is the best cardio workout in the world today. You will learn muay thai, kickboxing, boxing, wrestling, and jiu jitsu, techniques. You will also learn plyometric workouts taught that will help you shred weight and get in the best shape of your life. This is the best confidence booster there is and nothing leaves you with a better feeling than completing this workout! Hope to see you there!
