CERTIFIED PERSONAL TRAINERS
All trainers hold at least one nationally recognized certification, and are either working on, or have completed, a degree in a related field.
Augie is certified through IFPA and has been a fitness trainer for 11 years. He has helped over 300 clients achieve great results during his career as a trainer. He specializes in weight training, flexibility, cardio workouts, sport-specific training, plyometric and boot camp style workouts. Augie is a Cincinnati native who attended Aiken High school and Graduated with a Bachelors degree in Economics from UC. He has an extensive athletic background where he played football and ran track over a 14 year span. He was an All-Conference sprinter for UC in the late 90’s. After his career was over, he decided to use his knowledge of training to help others reach their goal. His goal for every person he trains is “to improve the quality of life through fitness training” Availability: Evenings during week after 5:30pm
Andrew is a certified Personal Trainer through NETA and is a fourth year Health Education student with a focus on Exercise and Fitness. Andrew likes to watch and play sports, and participate in outdoor activities such as biking and hiking. He also loves to work out and is decided to pursue a career in the field of health and fitness. His training style focuses on high energy and intense training using proven programs that deliver results. Andrew hopes to pursue a career in Strength and Conditioning coaching after graduation. Andrew is available at various times throughout the week after 4pm and weekends anytime.
Ashley is a certified Personal Trainer through AFAA and is currently pursuing a career in Nursing at the University of Cincinnati. Ashley also works as a Fitness Floor Coordinator and is currently an active member of the Club Swim Team. Ashley competed at the state level in swimming and track and has experience teaching swim lessons. She enjoys working out and loves using fitness as her stress reliever. Her favorite way of training involves various activities to challenge her body physically and mentally. Her main focus as a trainer is to help clients keep a positive attitude about fitness and gain confidence in the gym to further help them live a long and healthy life. Availability: Ashley is available at various times during the week and weekends.
Carlo is certified through NCSF and is pursuing a degree in Exercise and Fitness at the University of Cincinnati. He has competed at the varsity level of swimming and track, where he holds high school records for both the 4x100 and 4x200 meter relay races set back in 2007. Today, his passion for fitness is put towards muscle exhausting resistance and power training, as well as high intensity bodyweight exercises. Carlo also works as a Fitness Floor Coordinator, Group Fitness and Boxing Instructor with Campus Recreation. Carlo is available each day of the week at various times.
Chris is certified through NETA and is a fourth-year student majoring in Marketing and International Business. He loves all sports, played varsity football, ran varsity track and was varsity team captain. You might find Chris on the basketball courts, as he enjoys pick-up games most days of the week. Chris especially enjosy riding BMX and wakeboarding. Chris finds motivation in creating challenging workouts and completely fatiguing muscles. Chris has a passion to help those who look for intense, varying workoutsl. He enjoys building relationships with clients and realizing their goals. Availability: mornings, afternoons and evenings.
Colin is a certified Personal Trainer through NETA and has earned his Bachelor's degree from the University of Dayton in Fitness and Nutrition as well as his Master's degree from Florida State University in Nutrition with an emphasis in Sports Nutrition. Colin has been competing in triathlons since 2005 and has earned All-American honors from USA Triathlon since 2008. He also won the 2013 USA Triathlon Age-Group National Championship. Colin is passionate about living a healthy, active lifestyle and enjoys training a wide range of clients including those new to fitness, those looking to improve performance for a specific sport, and those just wanting a change of pace from their normal workout routine. Colin has very flexible hours and is able to meet with individuals early in the morning, in the evening, and on the weekends as well as during the day. Colin is also a Registered Nutritionist for Campus Recreation.
Emily is certified through NETA, and is currently a second-year student majoring in Pre-Medicine Biology with a focus in Dentistry at the University of Cincinnati. Emily also works as a Fitness Floor Coordinator. She has competed at the varsity level of lacrosse, basketball, and was the captain of her volleyball team. Emily enjoys staying fit through various activities such as running, biking, weightlifting, and intramural sports. She enjoys learning new exercises and incorporating them into her workouts. Her main focus as a trainer is to help clients reach their personal fitness goals while maintaining a positive attitude toward a healthier life. Emily is available at various times during the week and weekends.
Erin is a certified Personal Trainer through AFAA and is a graduate student in the Community Health Promotion and Education Program. She has experience with swimming and running long distances, finishing her first marathon last spring. Erin was also a high school swim coach for the past 3 years. She loves trying new workouts and is currently very interested in Power Yoga. Running is her activity of choice, but has learned over time, that strength training is just as important. Her training style combines both cardio and resistance routines to make the most of a workout session. Erin’s goal is to help people understand the importance of exercise and its benefits to daily life. She wants to pass on her passion of getting and staying fit. Availability: weekdays early morning through late afternoon.
Hannah is a certified Personal Trainer through NETA, and is currently a fourth-year Food/Nutrition and Exercise Science student at the University of Cincinnati.
Hannah also teaches Group Fitness and Specialty classes such as Boot Camp, HABIT, Tabata, Hooping, and Boxing at the UC Recreation Center.
Hannah enjoys staying fit through all sorts of activities from running and biking, to rock-climbing and wakeboarding. She also has a strong background in dance and lacrosse.
Her main focus as a trainer is to help clients reach their personal fitness goals and gain a positive attitude towards physical fitness.

Jason is certified through NETA and holds a B.S. in Health Sciences with a pre-physical therapy track. He currently works as a vocational minister on campus while promoting healthy living and educating his clients. Jason desires to maintain and promote a holistic lifestyle of health and fitness through physical training, dietary, and psychological elements that contribute to living life to the fullest. Fun Facts: Jason loves music and is a drummer in his free time. He enjoys training that is associated with boxing, body-weight resistance, strength, fitness fundamentals and functional training for assistance with daily activities, H.I.I.T, plyometrics and circuit training. He has been heavily involved in tennis, soccer, swimming, and even a bit of track and field in the past. Availability: Weekdays and most weekends.
He is certified through ACE, TRX and holds an B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. Justin studied personal training and gained experience in Las Vegas, Nevada after he graduated college.
Fit Facts: Justin enjoys competing in half-marathons, marathons, triathlons and Time Trial cycling. Specialty: TRX, Running mechanics, Chi running technique and minimalist running. Justin's goal as a trainer is to help you overcome your personal barriers by not only focusing on physical training, but the psychological training as well.

Kelley is a certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor through AFAA, and has also completed the TRX Suspension Training Course. She is currently a Graduate Assistant for the Health Promotion and Education/Community Health program at the University of Cincinnati. Kelley competed at the state level in swimming and has experience teaching swim lessons. She enjoys attending various group fitness classes and learning new exercises. Her favorite training style is circuit or interval training to keep up the intensity! Kelley’s specialty is helping clients stay committed to their goals by providing clients with the knowledge and skills to maintain their success in the future.Availability: Kelley has very limited availability.
Nick is a NETA certified personal trainer and is currently a fourth year dietetics major at the University of Cincinnati. He has experience in competitive swimming and cycling, including triathlons. Nick loves sharing his passion for working out and improving well-being with others through incorporating a wide variety of workout styles into his routines which always keeps fitness new and interesting for his clients! Nick also works as a Fitness Floor Coordinator at the Campus Recreation Center. He is available at various times throughout the week and weekends.
Paige is a certified trainer through the ACE and has been training for nearly three years in Campus Recreation. She also holds certifications in TRX, Spinning, and YogaFit. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Health Promotion and Education from the University of Cincinnati.
Fit Facts: Paige specializes in stabilaztion, stretching, yoga, fitness fundamentals and exercises for all ages. She has worked with clients both individually and in groups from ages 18 - 96.
Availability: Paige is available mornings, afternoons, evenings and on the weekends as well.
Terence is certified through NETA and is currently studying dietetics. He attended The Miami Valley Career Technology Center for Sports Medicine while in High School, and worked with many age groups ranging from 6 to 85 years old. In addition to his education, Terence was a District-qualifying wrestler throughout high school, and went on to coach and officiate the sport at the Pee Wee level. In his spare time, he enjoys intense workouts, being outdoors, and playing Frisbee-golf with friends. Terence's favorite method of traning clients is through kettlebell challenges, while his primary focus as a trainer is to keep clients motivated with a positive attitude and going above and beyond expectations. You may also see Terence on the fitness floor, in his role as a Fitness Lead when he is not training. Availability: Weekday evenings and weekends.
Vernon holds certifications through ACE and also is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES). He received his Bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion from UC and is currently an Exercise Management graduate student. His passion for fitness formed over fifteen years ago, when he discovered the difference that regular exercise had on his overall well-being. That passion has translated into a career in health and fitness. Vernon likes to stay fit by playing basketball and attending yoga classes, on a weekly basis. Vernon also works as a Behaviorist at The Kelly O’ Leary Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders at Cincinnati Children’s. So, whether you want to bulk-up, lose weight, compete in a 5k, become more flexible, or simply have more energy, he would be honored to help guide you from where you are to where you want to be. SPECIALTIES: Core Stabilization, Cardiorespiratory Interval Training, Flexibility, Sports Performance, & Bodyweight Training. Availability: Early-morning, evenings, and weekends, as well as at CARE.
Zach is certified through NETA and is currently studying dietetics at UC. He is an athlete and have played sports his entire life, including experience assisting with youth football camps and participated in competitive power lifting. Zach has a passion for nutrition and intense resistance training, as well as a love to try out new workout routines and exercises. In addition to strength training, he has also been trained in Yogafit, H.I.I.T., boxing and boot camp style workouts. Zach feels comfortable working with all ages and is confident that he can help any client reach his/her goal no matter the age, gender, or lifestyle history. Zach is available at various times during the week and weekends.
