What Can I Do with a Major in ... Environmental Studies

Environmental Studies

Description of Major

This major takes an interdisciplinary approach to understanding environmental issues and problems. Beginning with a strong foundation in science, the program is based on the premise that environmental problem solving requires a working knowledge of all the aspects that impact current issues and conflicts. Hence, the program curriculum includes disciplines ranging from political science, economics and ethics to biology, ecology, chemistry and engineering. Given the breadth of academic training and the rigor of the Environmental Studies degree students are at a distinct advantage as they seek internships, graduate study or employment.
