In general, graduating students and recent graduates are eligible for On-Campus Recruiting. Details are in the tables below.

Electronic Resume Submission

• Resume submission is strictly limited to the time frame designated for each employer's interview date.
• The resume submission deadline is 12:00 midnight (PST) on the designated date.
• No late submissions or paper copies will be accepted.

Interview Sign-up

• If you are selected for an interview, and you are still actively conducting a job search, you must sign up for an interview.
• First round pre-selects should sign up immediately to secure a slot.
• Alternates may begin to sign-up for any remaining interview slots beginning three days prior to the interview date.
• Alternate status is the equivalent of being wait listed for an interview. The purpose of alternates is to ensure that students receive as many opportunities as possible.

Recruit a 'Cat On- Campus Recruiting – General Student Policies

Students interested in utilizing the services and facilities of the Career Development Center for on-campus interviews must register in the prescribed manner and comply with the following instructions prior to scheduling appointments with organizations who participate in the on-campus recruiting program:

q    To be eligible to schedule an interview with an organization recruiting on-campus, the student must meet the minimum qualifications for the positions for which the organization is recruiting.  The minimum qualifications are provided to the Career Development Center by the organizations involved and are specified on-line.  Students not eligible for such interviews may request a member of the CDC On-Campus Recruiting Team contact a visiting organization to obtain authorization to add the student to their schedule.  The criteria for granting such a request will depend on the following factors:

Ø    All eligible students that are interested in scheduling interviews with the organization have had the opportunity to do so.

Ø     Students register past a company deadline.

Ø     There is room available on the schedule.

Ø     The recruiting organization agrees to interview candidates that do not meet their minimum stated qualifications.

Ø     A student’s resume is currently accessible through CDC’s on-line database or other arrangements have been made in consultation with CDC and with the employer. A copy of the student’s resume will be given to each recruiter with whom the student has scheduled a personal interview. 

Interview Cancellations: A student who is unable to keep an appointment with a recruiter must inform the Career Development Center at lease 48 hours in advance.  In cases of real emergency, the student must make every reasonable effort to telephone this office at least one hour before the scheduled appointment so that notice can be given the interviewer.   

No-Show Interview Policy: The Career Development Center values its relationship with recruiter’s looking to hire University of Cincinnati students.  Students who cannot be present for a scheduled interview, and who do not contact the Career Development Center, will be subject to the following requirements. 

q       First missed interview – The Career Development Center’s Associate Director who oversees on-campus recruiting will:

Ø     Contact the student by email advising him/her that this missed interview has caused the temporary suspension of all rights, resulting in the loss of interviewing privileges;

Ø    Request that the student email a letter of apology to the recruiting organization and copy (cc) the Associate Director in the original email to the recruiter, and

Ø     Upon receipt of the copy of the original email to the recruiter, all suspended rights and privileges will be restored to the student.

q       Second missed interview – The Career Development Center’s Associate Director who oversees on-campus recruiting will:

Ø       Contact the student by email advising him/her that this second missed interview has caused the temporary suspension of all rights, resulting in the loss of interviewing privileges;

Ø        Contact the student to setup a meeting to discuss the seriousness of this second missed interview and inform the student in this meeting that any further action regarding failure to appear for an interview will result in the removal of his/her name from future interview schedules;

Ø        Request that the student email a letter of apology to the recruiting organization and copy (cc) the Associate Director in the original email to the recruiter, and

Ø        Upon receipt of the copy of the original email to the recruiter, and after the meeting with the Associate Director, all suspended rights and privileges will be restored to the student. 

q      Third missed interview – After a third missed interview, the student will be ineligible to participate in future interviewing through the Career Development Center. 

Job Offers

• You must fill out a Job Offer Form for each and every offer you receive regardless of acceptance of that offer.

Security
All students and alumni using Recruit a 'Cat are bound to the Career Development Center's Information Integrity Policy:

No person may tamper with any aspect of the University of Cincinnati Career Development Center's (CDC) electronic information services and resources. Tampering is defined as the modification, deletion, or appending of information not under your direct ownership. Within CDC's systems you are only given ownership of your own records and associated information. Additionally, you may not tamper with and/or use CDC's information services and resources in any manner outside that which the provided user interfaces permit. CDC reserves the right to monitor any and all transactions that take place with its systems. Any person found to have violated this information integrity policy will immediately be removed from CDC's systems and also be subject to formal disciplinary action and expulsion from the university.

Resume Waiver
All students and alumni who submit a resume through Recruit a 'Cat agree to the following terms:

All submitted resumes may be used by the UC Career Development Center,  without restriction, for the purpose of assisting in the job search process. Submitted resumes may be stored indefinitely in print and/or electronic form. The UC Career Development Center is authorized to make changes to resumes and other account information upon verbal or written request by the account holder.

NOTE:

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT MANY EMPLOYERS ARE ONLY HIRING FULL-TIME
GRADUATES WHO ARE U.S. CITIZENS OR HAVE PERMANENT RESIDENCE
STATUS.
