Chef Meg Galvin

Chef Meg Galvin is the program coordinator for the Bachelor of Science for Culinary Arts and Science program at the University of Cincinnati. she is also serves as a faculty member at Midwest Culinary Institute at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College. Meg graduated from Eastern Kentucky University and earn a certificate of culinary arts from the Cordon Bleu in London. Prior to her teaching at Cincinnati State, Meg served as food service manager at Shriner's Hospital for Children in Cincinnati. Currently, she also co-hosts "The Dish," a weekly cooking show with chef Jean-Robert de Cavel (9:30 a.m. Friday, channel 12). Recently Chef Meg Galvin was honored by the World Master Chef Society for her culinary accomplishments making her one of the only 13 women in the world to hold the Master Chef's title.

Chef Yek serves as a program coordinator and faculty member for UC's Culinary Arts and Science Program.Chef Yek was born on the island of Penang, off the coast of peninsular Malaysia. A chemical engineer in her first profession, Chef Yek earned her M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Vanderbilt University and pursued a career in the chemical processing industry.

Chef Yek has pursued cooking professionally, one of her lifelong passions. She developed and started the Asian Cookery program at the Midwest Culinary Institute, which has since been integrated into the Bachelors of Science program in Culinary Arts and Science. She is actively engaged in the development and instruction of culinary science and food science courses for the baccalaureate curriculum.

Chef Yek is an American Culinary Federation certified Chef de Cuisine, and is an adjunct instructor at the University of Cincinnati and the Midwest Culinary Institute.
