Vision

Through continued improvement in teaching, research, professional activity and significant involvement in actual design and construction, and through the implementation of the Construction Innovation Center and graduate level course work related to the Master's Degree in Business Administration/Concentration in Construction Management, the Department shall help set the local and national agendas for college level construction related education.

LEED 2000 Certification Courses

The LEED Green Building Rating System is a comprehensive, voluntary, design and assessment tool that helps design, engineering and construction professionals improve building efficiency, and measure the sustainability of their projects. The first version of LEED was released in 1998.  Since then, the LEED rating system has truly changed the market and how architects practice. As of May 1, 2008, 3.5+ billion square feet of building projects (10,000+ individual projects) have registered intent to seek LEED certification, with dozens more signing up every day. LEED Accreditation showcases your environmental commitment and leadership in sustainable construction practices, creating a draw for potential tenants and sending a strong message to employees and the wider community that you care about their health.

Prep courses designed to educate building industry professionals about sustainable design principles and construction practices embodied in the LEED rating system are offered several times a year. Please continue to check here for availability.
