A study of college level writing, including strategies for pre-writing, writing, revising, and editing that focuses on audience and purpose, and introduces concepts of critical thinking, reading, writing, and information literacy. Portfolio used for University Exit Exam. Prereq: Placement Exam.
32ENGL102. English Composition II. 3ug.cr. An introduction to researching and writing in the technical professions with a focus on fundamentals of argument and continued emphasis on information literacy from English Comp I resulting in writing of a major research paper on a technical subject, together with a study of memos, letters, proposals, and reports. Prereq: Eng Comp I.
32ENGL103. English Composition III. 3ug.cr. Final course in English Composition sequence, emphasizing further development of critical thinking, reading, and writing skills and strategies, through the study of literature including fiction, poetry, and/or drama. Prereq: English Comp II.
