This spring, seniors at the University of Cincinnati's College of Applied Science will exercise their imaginations and technical know-how to complete their senior projects. The results are a surprising mix of creative design, complex project management, and eye-catching ingenuity.
Tech Expo 2008 brings this year's senior design projects to the public. Come and see their innovative solutions as everyone is welcome... May 22nd at the Duke Energy Center.
Amazing Student Displays - Senior projects will span all technology concentrations within the College of Applied Science. Additionally, tri-state Tech Prep students will be exhibiting their award winning projects in the exhibit hall as well.
1st Annual Energy Conference - Join area and industry leaders for four informative panel discussions and presentations spanning many facets of the power industry. Panels will address:
Public Utilities - how will the lights stay on?
Alternative Energy - sources, future uses, participation
Sustainability - recycling, green designs, LEEDS...
Climate Change - real facts, what can/should be changed?
Robots on Display and in Combat - Experience these electro-mechanical marvels as they move through their paces. Industrial robots from companies like Toyota, specialty robots like the police surveillance robot originally designed as a CAS student project, and robotic manipulators by CAS students are scheduled for EXPO 2008.
Battle of the 'Bots - Even better watch as other robots battle over a special course.
Network and Connect - firms from around the Tri-State are exhibiting technology and process improvements to show their use and progressive approaches as we move further into the 21st century.
Industry Presentations and Seminars - are scheduled throughout the day. These include:
