Residencies
![]() Most students in the University of Cincinnati Fire Science Department take coures in a distance format, turning in assignments via email and taking final exams in their home communities. But some prefer a face-to-face format for certain subjects. For those, the department offers residency courses. A mini-residency is one course taught for four or five days. Residencies are collections of courses, say Statistics, a Humanities class and a fire core class, taught simultaneously at a convenient location. UC's fire science students live across the eastern United States and beyond, so a convenient location can be Florida in the winter, campus in July, and suburbs of Detroit and Columbus in between. 09A MINI-RESIDENCY at the Columbus Fire Training Academy 3639 Parsons Avenue,Columbus, Ohio, starting November 2nd – November 6th, 2009. |
