Humanities, Media, & Cultural Studies Department is dedicated to:

Ensuring that students are able to communicate orally, visually, and in writing their technical findings, thoughts, and philosophy to others around them.

Fostering understanding of cultural diversity, knowledge of interpersonal relations, effective ethical judgements in the workplace, and appreciation of the interconnections among media, technology, and society.

Helping students to fulfill General Education requirements of the university in five of the six distribution areas including: Historical Perspectives, Humanities, Literature, Social Sciences, and Visual Arts.

Helping to foster intellectual linkages and exchanges.

Fostering critical planning, knowledge integration, and social responsibility.
