General Applied Science Scholarships
- Emil J. Jonas Scholarship. A general academic scholarship. Maximum award of $500.
- Emery/OCAS Women & Minorities Scholarship. Awarded to women & minority students to assist them in furthering their education at Applied Science Maximum award of $1,000.
- Hilmar C. and Mildred C. Krueger Scholarship. Awarded to Applied Science students who have attained sophomore status and who have achieved a meritorious academic record and who have shown a strong commitment to continuing their education at the University of Cincinnati. Maximum award of $1,500.
- IGSA (Institute for Global Studies and Affairs) Awards Students may apply for cash awards of up to $500 for study abroad. Application information is available at http://www.uc.edu/global
- Jerry Berns Scholarship. Awarded to a student from the Metropolitan New York area who is attending Applied Science. Maximum award of $1,000.
- Mark Herschede Foundation Fund. Provides assistance to minority students studying at Applied Science. Maximum award of $1,000.
- Mary Jo Maher Memorial Scholarship for Women. A scholarship fund for women, needing financial assistance, who wish to attend evening classes at Applied Science. Maximum award of $1,500.
- Murray Shipley Scholarship . A general scholarship based on academics and need. Maximum award of $500.
- Applied Science Alumni Scholarship. Awarded to incoming freshmen students and/or current students to provide financial assistance. Maximum award of $1,000.
- Roy Vandergrift Scholarship. Awards made on academics and need. Maximum award of $500.
- Samuel E. Hilles Scholarship. An academic scholarship for students who have attained at least sophomore standing. Maximum award of $250.
- Student Service Society Scholarship Fund. Awarded to students furthering their education at Applied Science. Preference given to evening students. Maximum award of $250.
- William A. Greaves Scholarship. A scholarship fund established to meet the emergency and special needs of Applied Science students. Students applying for this scholarship must have a 2.5 GPA or higher and be a sophomore, junior, or senior. Seniors applying for the scholarship will have preference. Maximum award of $500.

Departmental Scholarships
Business & Commerce Department.
- Delta Mu Delta Scholarship. Awarded to students needing financial assistance and majoring in a business program in Applied Science.
Maximum award of $1,500.
Chemical Technology Department.
- Procter & Gamble/OCAS Women & Minorities Scholarship. Used to provide training opportunities to minority and women students who have an interest in and an aptitude for engineering technology. Maximum award of $1,500.
- Tonu Lohmussaar Fund. A scholarship to be awarded to a student in the chemical technology baccalaureate degree program. Maximum award of $1,500.
Construction Science Department.
- Forest D. and Gail C. Atkins Scholarship. May be awarded to students and prospective students in construction science. Maximum award of $1,000.
- Houston Selvie Scholarship Fund. Awarded to minority students majoring in construction science. Maximum award of $1,500.
- James Graf Memorial Scholarship Fund. Awarded to a student in the construction science department . The scholarship is based upon scholarship and leadership with special consideration given to Veterans of the US Armed Forces.
- National Association of Women in Construction. Awarded to students needing assistance in purchasing textbooks.
- Robert Dorsey Scholarship. A scholarship to be awarded to students in the construction management program. Maximum award of $1,500.
- Waltek Scholarship. Awarded to a junior or pre-junior in the architectural engineering technology program who has demonstrated academic excellence.
Electrical Engineering Technology Department.
- The Theodore (Tae) H. and Mary L. Meyer Memorial EET Scholarship. No restrictions. Maximum award of $1,500.
Fire Science Technology Department.
- Barbara Barkley Memorial Scholarship. Award made to students majoring in fire science. Maximum award of $1,000.
Humanities, Media, and Cultural Studies Department.
- Allie L. Ginter Award for Excellence in Technical Communication. An annual award of $200 to the student who most exemplifies excellence in technical communication. This award is made by a faculty committee in the HMCS Department.
- Excellence in the Humanities Scholarship. This award is made by a faculty committee in the HMCS Department.
- Maxel-Gyr Scholarship. A scholarship based on academics and need. This award is made by a faculty committee in the HMCS department.
- Richard W. Vilter, Jr. and Barbara Watt Vilter Memorial Scholarship. For Center for Access and Transition students and awarded for achievement in english composition. This award is made by a faculty committee in the HMCS department.
Mathematics and Physics Department.
- Muriel M Gilligan Memorial Award for Excellence in Mathematics. Awarded to a graduating associate’s degree student in Applied Science who is continuing his/her education at Applied Science towards a bachelor’s degree. The recipient must have a 3.8 or higher GPA in mathematics courses completed at Applied Science.
This award is made by a faculty committee in the MP Department.
Mechanical Engineering Department.
- David C. Choate Mechanical Engineering Technology Scholarship. Award to a senior mechanical engineering student in Applied Science. Maximum award of $500.
- Harold H. Turtoy Memorial Scholarship Fund. The Professor Joseph Sweeney scholarship given to mechanical engineering students. Maximum award of $1,000.
- Lester F. Nenninger Award. Awarded to a mechanical engineering student who merits top academic recognition. Maximum award of $250.
- Robert T. “Doc” McMahan Memorial Scholarship. To be awarded to “promising” undergraduates in the mechanical engineering technology program. Academic excellence and community service is important. Maximum award of $1,500.
