Applied Science Teams With OTI
The result is a new Certificate in Industrial Safety &
Compliance! The college is teaming with the Great Lakes OTI Education
Center of the Continuing Medical Education Program of the UC College of Medicine
to deliver the latest in OSHA safety and compliance standards.
Initial courses are underway and are only the beginning of a more
complete safety and compliance program set planned for Applied Science campus as part of
the Construction Management and Mechanical Engineering programs. For more on the

Course Descriptions for Winter 2006
OSHA for the Construction Industry (32-BLTN-010-901)
Course covers OSHA policies, procedures and standards, as well as construction safety
and health principles. Upon successful course completion, the student will receive
an OSHA construction safety and health 30-hour course completion card.

OSHA for General Industry (32-MET-015-901)
Course covers OSHA policies, procedures and standards, as well as general industry
safety and health principles. Upon successful completion, the student will receive
an OSHA general industry safety and health 30-hour course completion card.

Logistical Details:
- Courses are offered once a week in the evening for your convenience
- Classes meet from 5:30 PM to 8:20 PM
- Each course carries 3 college credit hours
- Each course also offers 2.6 ceu of professional credit from the OSHA Training Institute
- Classes are taught at Applied Science - 2220 Victory
