Feel free to contact the department that matches your area of need or use the "Contact Us" links to schedule and appointment. Contract Courses and Onsite Training:
Many courses routinely taught as part of the associate and bachelor degree programs of the college as well as the specialty areas within the certificate programs can be done at your offices or a convenient local facility. The college schedules fully qualified faculty and staff for these assignments upon request. Please call the office of Associate Dean Allen Arthur (513) 556-6580 to discuss your needs or use the link to your left or the "Contact Us" link above and mark your email to his attention.
Open Learning Fire Science:
These courses and degree programs are specifically designed for the professional fire fighter and are available through distance learning courses. For more about this exciting option click here.
Professional Certificates:
Skills training, job specific instruction, and professional certifications are provided in many areas. The link to your left lists courses and certificates currently available. While all are scheduled for the Victory Parkway Campus, many can be as effectively conducted at your facility and should be regarded as one part of a program tailored for your operations. Your employees can enroll directly for these or use the "Contact Us" link to email or call us about your needs.
The college often partners with industry experts and other agencies to deliver the best in these areas. An example is the joint CAS-OTI program in OSHA Safety Regulations that yields both a CAS Certificate and OSHA certification. For more click here. Senior Projects and Directed Resolutions:
The college requires students to complete a capstone project to demonstrate their capabilities and to serve as a summary to their knowledge as a requirement to graduate. These projects are oriented toward product and process improvements (or problems) found in current products and practices. Resulting project solutions are displayed each May at the college's Tech Expo at the Convention Center. For more about Tech Expo and our innovative solutions click here.
The college welcomes your input and participation in these and also maintains an ability to address your more urgent needs through its faculty and staff. Feel free to contact Denise Crews, Center for Economic & Workforce Development, at (513) 235-8076 or use the "Contact Us" link above to set an appointment or to discuss your needs in more detail.
Workforce Development Training:
Much of what has been outlined above can be classed as Workforce Development (WFD) training. However, the college offers much more. As one of your WFD partners, we are prepared to work with you in (1) assessing your training needs, (2) designing a program for your operation, (3-a) identifying courses and certification programs for your professional staff (e.g. engineers, senior technicians, designers, and other often college educated employees) who are too often neglected in these efforts, (3-b) identifying possible funding sources, (4) conducting the program, and (5) assisting you in evaluating the effectiveness of the training.
Workshops and Short Courses:
Concentrated areas of study are offered in a number of areas and are generally directed toward professionals and their need to (1) remain technologically current and (2) deepening knowledge in supplemental and allied areas. These short courses are typically concentrated into a week or two 3 day sessions and include hands-on laboratory time within the instruction.
Examples are the PLC short course set for June and the rotating machinery short course offered again this December. For more about these exciting options click on either course name..
