The Student Services staff is eager to provide information about admission to the college. Student Services schedules meetings with prospective students and guests, to discuss opportunities and programs offered at Applied Science.

Academic Advising

Academic advisers are available in the Student Services Office to help students make the most of their academic career. We assist students with course scheduling, understanding University and College requirements and policies, reviewing Degree Audits, graduation requirements, and facilitating changing to a different major. We also provide strategies for academic success. Please call 513-556-6564 to set up an appointment with an academic adviser.

In addition, students are assigned a faculty adviser from the department of their academic major. Faculty advisers provide information about the specifics of the particular major and guidance regarding course selection.

Applied Science Office of Career Placement

Applied Science Office of Career Placement has full-time positions posted online that are available to all graduating students as well as alumni. As students express an interest in the positions, we will email resumes to the companies, keep students updated on the progress of interviewing possibilities, and inform students about career related events as they happen. In addition, students are encouraged to stop-in or schedule an appointment to discuss their resumes, career goals, interview questions, or any topic they are facing when searching for that final, full-time position.

The Office of Career Placement also has a Fall and Spring Career Fair each year at Applied Science for all students seeking both full-time and co-op positions. Applied Science Graduate Report is also produced by this office. This annual report provides salary information and post-graduate decisions of each graduating class as well as a ten-year comparison of salary information.

Registration and Student Records

In person registration functions can be processed and information regarding student schedules and records in the Student Services Office. In addition, computer labs are located throughout the college for web registration. Early Registration for continuing students allows students to register through the Internet on a priority basis during pre-assigned dates. Early Registration priority dates are assigned only to those students who have registered for UC classes within the last four (4) quarters.

Tutoring

Free tutoring is available to Applied Science students through the Math/Physics Learning Center. Applied Science students can also take advantage of services provided by the University Learning Assistance Center located in University Pavilion on the Clifton campus.

Applied Science Writing Center is staffed by professionals to provided assistance for all writing assignments from first year term papers to senior design reports and resumes.
