CAT FACTS

Over 3,500 UC freshmen have begun their journey
toward a degree by being admitted to the Uptown
Campus through the Center for Access and Transition.
- Over 72 percent of the CAT students who transitioned
remain enrolled at the University of Cincinnati. Their
average overall university grade point average (UGPA)
is 2.63.
- Eight out of ten freshmen admitted through
CAT who passed English 101B also passed the next
required course in the university’s freshman English
sequence, English 102.

Freshmen admitted to UC’s Uptown Campus through
CAT have the same pass rate in college
algebra (MATH 173) as those who are admitted to
other programs.
- CAT students exhibit solid organizational skills that help them keep on top
of homework and balance the demands of school,
work, and family
