Writing Center

      Kyle Doan earned a B.A. in English from the University of Cincinnati.  He began working as a peer tutor when Bill Thelin, his English Composition professor, encouraged him to apply in his first year of College.  Upon graduating, he was promoted to Academic Tutor and is entering his sixth year of tutoring.  Kyle is an avid writer.  He submits his work regularly, and had a poetry collection entitled Questioning the Answers accepted for publication in January, 2006.  He has several projects going at any given time, including short stories, screenplays, novellas, poetry, and even a little non-fiction.  Kyle's favorite things in the world besides writing and the work he does out of the Writing Center, are Starbursts and his kitty cat, Brak.  When not working, he is often engaged with one or the other, though never both at the same time.  He learned at an early age that furry animals and sticky candies are not a complimentary mix.  This makes Kyle sad from time to time, but he doesn't let it get him down for long.
