Outreach

We offer outreach programs in the form of presentations, workshops, health fairs, awareness campaigns, and informational sessions. Topics vary from basic information about the Counseling Center services to stress management to professional screening for depression. We are happy to provide outreach tailored to a group's needs. We go to residence halls, classrooms, and other gathering places with these programs.

Typical topics for students include:

Stress management
Balancing school, work and family demands
Communication skills
Making and keeping satisfying relationships

We can present on other topics and will tailor our outreach to your group's needs, time frame, and schedule. We welcome your proposals for outreach on a specific topic.

We also offer presentations to faculty and staff that help them assist students who may have personal concerns. For example, we can provide a program on recognizing and assisting students with difficulties.

To request an outreach program, please contact Sandy Haddad at 556-0648. We generally need at least three weeks' notice to prepare a program, unless it is related to a crisis situation.
