A living-learning-serving community in the Stratford Heights* complex, just steps from campus.

Are you interested in community service and civic engagement? Do you want to learn about nonprofits, develop as a student leader, become invested in your community—and earn credit for it?

  • A fully-equipped kitchen, access to study and meeting space, a ping-pong table, TV lounge with cable and DVD player and more!

 

 

Requirements:

  • Enroll in the CCE course for one credit per quarter. This course will consist of a student-driven schedule of house meetings that may include workshops, dinners, and student reflection.
  • Engage in 10 hours of service to the community each quarter
  • One of the following
    o Organize a student event that draws in other students as volunteers
    o Take a leadership role in a CCE signature program
    o Participate in the Community Engagement FYE Learning Community
    o Sign up for the Community Engagement Certificate program
    o Participate in the Community Service Federal Work Study program

*Incoming freshmen who live within 50 miles of campus and all upper-class students are eligible to live in Stratford Heights.
