Thank you for participating in Into the Streets 2007!
 |
On Saturday, October 6th, 175 of you worked on 20 different service teams--more than ever before. You scrubbed windows, swept glass, cleared sewer grates and picked up litter along the Clifton Heights business district and in other parts of our Uptown community. You worked construction at the UC Habitat for Humanity House in Avondale. You painted, took inventory, and moved classroom furniture at Taft Elementary and Wynn Child Development Center, both not far from campus.
You made a noticeable, tangible impact on your commuinity and you did it all in 90-degree weather. Bravo! Thanks for taking the Bearcat spirit to the streets! We'll see you next year....

Plan to join us for Into the Streets 2008...
(date and time TBD)
Into the Streets is one of the largest student community beautification efforts of the year!
For the first time in 2007, we are celebrating our own community. We are going to walk into the neighborhoods surrounding the University and work on projects defined by the local community organizations. We will be beautifying parks, green spaces; helping a local elementary school with projects; assisting the Civic Garden Center with a local garden; and more!
