With over 100 volunteers coming out to beautify Burnet Woods, the Center for Community Engagement thanks all volunteers for making Green-Up Day 2013 at Burnet Woods a success! Check back for information on Green-Up Day 2014.

Burnet Woods is located right across the street from the University of Cincinnati, accessible from Martin Luther King Drive, Clifton Avenue, and Ludlow/Jefferson Avenue. Meet at the Trailside Nature Center at 8:45 a.m. (HERE).

What to expect:

  • Please bring a pair of work gloves to the event if you can. All other tools will be provided.
  • Event is rain or shine, so wear clothes that can get dirty and sturdy shoes appropriate for working in brush and mud.
  • Volunteer opportunities will consist of mulching the park, honeysuckle/invasive species removal, grounds beautification, and any other special projects in need of attention.
  • When the work is done, pizza and drinks will be provided for lunch.
  • Correction: Green-Up Day will not be a part of the Cincinnati "Give a Day, Get a Game" program this year.
