Welcome to the CCM Preparatory Department

The Mission of the Preparatory Department of the College-Conservatory of Music is to provide educational instruction and performance opportunities in Music, Theater and Dance to students of all ages and abilities. For over one hundred years we have been offering arts experiences to the Cincinnati community. Whether you are seven or seventy, an enthusiast or a serious student, we hope you will consider CCM Prep for your artistic pursuits.

Our Community Outreach program includes classes for students with special needs and older adults. These classes are offered free of charge.CCM Prep students have gone on to major colleges including CCM, Northwestern, Baldwin-Wallace, University of Southern California and the University of Michigan. Several of our students have been featured on NPR's “From the Top” and have been featured on Broadway touring productions. But most of all, we are proud of all the students who participate in our programs and leave with a profound appreciation and lifelong love for the arts.
CCM Preparatory Department is proud to be fully accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music, and a member of the National Guild of Community Schools of the Arts, and the Suzuki Association of America.
