How to apply:
Students can sign up for 2 to 4 credit hours, depending on their availability, and they are expected to complete three hours of lab-related tasks per week per credit hour. Lab meetings are Fridays 10-11AM, and attendance is mandatory.

After a successful interview, you will be asked to provide the following:

1.  State of Ohio background check (BCI&I)

2.  Record of a physical examination documented on
     this form

3.   Letter of reference from a previous instructor,
      mentor, or supervisor, using this form

4.   A completed and signed
      financial Conflict of Interest form

5.   Proof of CITI training (instructions can be found
      here)

6.   A signed syllabus for research credits

7.   An electronic version of your résumé, CV, or
     personal statement for our webpage

The Children's Cognitive Research Lab investigates children's reasoning and problem solving. Our participants are 1- to 12-year-old children, with an emphasis on preschoolers. Adults are included for baseline purposes. Research assistants can participate in all aspects of the research process, including preparing experimental stimuli, recruiting participants, collecting and analyzing data, and disseminating our findings. The experience gained as a CCRL research assistant is likely to provide students with insights into developmental research, prepare them for conducting an independent research project, and increase their chances for graduate school.
