| Ohio Design Assistance Team Charrette
Springboro, Ohio and Canal Winchester, Ohio Staff of each Center, Faculty of the participating Institutions, City staff, and local urban development experts participated in creating design and policy reccommendations for various parts of the city. Issues addressed included advancing strategies to help the community preserve its natural assets and rural small town character in a region rapidly becoming dominated by sprawling suburban development. The City is currently using the findings of the workshop to shape its future development policy goals. The second project was a two-day workshop for Canal Winchester in November of 2000, which assisted the community in planning to accommodate the metropolitan growth of neighboring Columbus while preserving its small town identity. |
