The Master of Community Planning capstone class presented their proposal to use the casino development in downtown Cincinnati as a catalyst to improve Pendleton, an adjacent neighborhood currently experiencing blight and disinvestment. The key objectives of the project were to create a neighborhood of choice, form community partnerships, utilize phased place making strategy, develop a diverse neighborhood center, and implement retail and commercial development plan.
